    1. Absolutely riveting. This is overall, an amazing book of abuse, survival and success. I will warn you. This is a turbulent tale that is haunting and at times horrifying. We encounter every bit of the psychological and physical abuse Patra endures at the hands of her sister, a soul who is continuously tortured through her own mental illnesses. You can almost feel the burns and beatings that are inflicted upon both girls through the words on the pages. It is heart-breaking.Agonizing. Constant. But [...]

    2. Riveting Thriller of a young girls quest to make sense and peace of a tortured childhoodMy Five Sisters is a captivating psychological thriller told through the retrospective innocence of young child who was tortured mentally and physically by her older sister who had five distinct personalities.A powerful and gripping read from Pam Franklin!

    3. Wow! What a great book, could not put it down. Loved the writing style, felt like I was there to feel all the emotion that runs through this book. Fantastic read!

    4. Once I picked up this book I couldn't put it down until the last page. What an incredible story-teller! The nightmares that happen behind closed doors touch so many lives. Travelling from childhood to adulthood can be a very dangerous and challenging time. This is a must read for everyone that works with children.

    5. *I just began this book today, not finished yet, but the app won't let me just post a progress update so I'm trying this instead- I'm currently on page 64. The book is easy to read. The story, at different turns, is sad, funny, poignant, and horrifying. However, the author has a writing style that I find completely irritating- the writing in "dialect". I understand that the author is from Mississippi & that's where the memoir is set, and that there's a certain way we speak here in the South, [...]

    6. This book was not my idea of a psychological thrillerI purchased this book because of all the five star reviews. I didn't like it. It took me long to read it.

    7. So, this book was a bit hard for me. I'm an oldest child who is a survivor of child abuse, but ALSO, an oldest child who was NOT kind to my siblings. A story of sibling abuse? So close to home! Trigger warning - this book can be rough, especially if you have firsthand experience with abuse of any type. But the good thing about books like this is that they can be inspiring, too. They are survival stories. And that's important and big. And powerful. This is a book that's easy to get lost in, so ma [...]

    8. This book was an interesting look at behavioral health and society in rural Mississippi however the writing style and some of the stories made it a struggle to get through.

    9. Absolutely riveting, I could not put it down. I could actually feel Patra's pain and confusion. Amazing story of survival and success. This is a non-stop page turning must read book! My Five Sisters: Based on a Real-Life Story of Sibling Abuse
